Burley Celtic Woodwinds offers Great Highland Bagpipes that are uniquely styled.  Influenced and inspired by both the Spanish "Gaita" and by the architecture used by many Uilleann pipe makers, Burley Highland Pipes visibly stand out in the crowd while producing sound that is equal to (if not better than) the sound produced by the world's premier makes.

BCW offers Great Highland Bagpipes in two styles: "Iain" and "Caitlin."

"Caitlin" is a beautiful instrument, and an inspired departure from the traditional styling of other makes.  Even from a distance, Caitlin is noticably unique.

"Iain" embodies much of Caitlin's elegant styling, but with a more robust appearance, effectively bridging the gap between Caitlin and the traditionally-styled bagpipe.

BCW is proud of the Solo Chanter we sell with each set of Highland Bagpipes.  Its design is the result of intense examination of the world's finest pipe chanters and research into general woodwind design.

Graham Burley plays pipes of his own making (Iain Masters Edition - Pictured) in Professional Solo Competition, with the intention of subjecting them to the most intense possible scrutiny.  Pipes and chanter have received constant praise.

Instruments are available in Cocobolo and African Blackwood.

Additional to the styling choices of "Caitlin" or "Iain," pipes are available in Plain, Beaded, and Combed, and the Master's Edition.  The Master's Edition is Beaded and Combed, with Boxwood Accents at each ferrule location and on the chanter grip.

Highland Bagpipes are also available with mounts by David Marshall Silverworks
